With 3 outdoor tennis courts on site, Flatiron Athletic Club’s enthusiastic tennis community is growing every year!  Everyone from the novice player to the avid competitor will enjoy the great atmosphere of our courts. Court reservations can be made through the Front Desk.

SUE BURKE—Sue has over 25 years of experience in the tennis industry, and is a long-time local favorite of many Boulder tennis players. She has served as Tennis Director for several clubs, was a collegiate coach, a U.S. National Team Coach and Team Colorado Coach. Sue brings a tremendous amount of experience and energy to Flatiron Athletic Club and is a terrific resource for both youth and adult tennis enthusiasts. 

WAYNE EMERICK—Wayne has proven himself as one of the United States’ top player development coaches with over 25 years of experience. Wayne is a USA Tennis High Performance Coach through USPTA and currently the Head Coach of Denver Reebok Urban Youth Tennis Academy. Formally, Wayne served as the statistical match analyst for ESPN and was awarded the USTA Eastern Section Coach of the Year. 

CHAD TSUDA—Chad is a Boulder, Colorado local currently attending the University of Colorado at Boulder. As a junior at Fairview High School, Chad won two state titles and was ranked No. 11 nationally. He then went on to play at the University of Colorado from 2002 – 2006, tying for eighth on the all-time career wins list. He is currently the head varsity coach for the boy’s tennis program at Fairview. 

JIM PAGANO—Jim has been a tennis instructor for 18 years. He has taught at Flatiron Athletic Club for five years, ran the Junior Program at the Ranch Country Club for five years, coached Boulder High School Varsity Men and Women Tennis for two years and taught at the Harvest House for two years. He played Division 1 tennis at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, and graduated from law school in 2006. 


TENNIS POLICIES
  • All courts are on a reservation basis and may be reserved by calling the Front Desk 24 hours in advance.
  • If a member fails to take possession of his/her court within 15 minutes of the designated reservation time the reservation shall be cancelled and the court may be reassigned.
  • Reservation privileges will be removed should a member neglect to cancel or show up for their reservation on more than one occasion.
