Programs/Activities

Flatiron Athletic Club features programs and activities designed to meet the fitness goals and lifestyles of all its members. You can choose from indoor and outdoor, group or individual activities. The great thing about FAC is that with so many classes and resources under one roof, it’s  a great place to try out new fitness activities, or get some advice if you’re just starting out in a new sport. Of course you can expect the highest quality equipment, the latest in training techniques, and the most qualified instructors in the region.


GROUP FITNESS

Get motivated to get moving in these energizing, all-inclusive group fitness classes! Because we realize one type of fitness routine doesn’t fit everyone’s objectives, we’ve developed a solid variety of diverse teaching styles and fitness classes to cater to all types of lifestyles. We hope you take advantage of the many aerobic, multi-sport and indoor group cycling classes that are included in your membership.


PILATES

Since 1993, Flatiron Athletic Club has maintained a state-of-the-art Pilates studio, and is proud to offer this very effective exercise method to its members. Pilates is a resistance training, injury prevention and recovery program that focuses primarily on building core strength. One of the most wonderful aspects of Pilates is that it can be adapted to meet anyone’s needs, from the therapeutic/rehabilitation client to the professional athlete.


YOGA

With dimmed lights, mirrored walls and an inviting atmosphere, you’ll feel right at home in Flatiron Athletic Club’s Yoga studio. Our patient and expert instructors teach beginner and intermediate levels, providing both mind-balancing and body-challenging classes. Signing up for Yoga classes is not necessary, however please arrive at the Yoga studio five minutes before the scheduled class time.


SWIMMING & AQUATICS

With one of the best year-round swim facilities in town, Flatiron Athletic Club is home to many of Boulder’s avid swimmers and world-class athletes. Our outdoor pool is a 25-meter, 6-lane pool heated to 80 degrees and open all year! For those who prefer to swim indoors we also have a four-lane lap pool. During the summer months our separate, outdoor Kiddie Pool is open for the smaller children.


INDOOR CYCLING

Flatiron Athletic Club features 21 official Lemond Life Fitness RevMaster Indoor Cycling Bikes fit in its cycling studio. Let one of our many enthusiastic instructors take you through a workout that incorporates several effective fitness tools, including intervals, heart rate training, endurance training, hill training and more. Whatever the theme of the class, you’re in charge. Since the rider controls the bike’s resistance level, every cycling class is made for all fitness abilities.


TRIATHLON TRAINING

Flatiron Athletic Club and Boulder, Colorado is the training center of the triathlon world! FAC proudly promotes triathlon training with some of the all-time best competitors in the field.


COURT SPORTS

With four racquetball/handball courts, three squash courts and three outdoor tennis courts, Flatiron Athletic Club is a court lover’s haven. We have an enthusiastic group of players for each game. Members may book a time slot with the front desk one day in advance to ensure an available court. Racquets and balls are available at the front desk for member use. Private lessons with a pro can be scheduled at the front desk for all sports. Look for more information about our tennis program during the summer months.


MARTIAL ARTS

Flatiron Athletic Club offers martial arts classes in Shotokan Karate and Taekwon-do and Tai Chi classes free for members! Taekwon-do is taught by Master Jonas Pologe.


OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Many Flatiron Athletic Club members incorporate some outside activities to augment their training routine and expand their fitness levels. We are fortunate to have many local groups associated with FAC such as running clubs, triathlon training clubs and outdoor boot camps. Some of these clubs start and finish their activities at the Club while others meet in other locations.


SENIOR FIT CLUB

Senior Fit Club is a Flatiron Athletic Club program designed for active older adults to promote healthy lifestyles. You can participate in the program by signing up for the twice-yearly, fee-based “Personal Training Program”, or you can participate in drop-in classes and 101 Swimming classes, which are included in an FAC membership.
