We would like to extend a congratulations to our own Anna Scott-Kube, FAC’s Youth Aquatics Director, who just last week took 1st place in the Women’s 200 Free Relay, 200 Women’s Medley Relay and the 200 Mixed Free Relay in the U.S. Masters Swim Nationals in Arizona. Anna also set two National Records and took 2nd, 3rd, 3rd and 4th places in the 100 I.M, 50 Fly, 100 Free and 50 Free respectively. The U.S. Masters Swim Nationals draw some of the best swimmers in the nation ranging in age from 19 to 90. Many x-olympians and potential come-back olympians swim at this meet.

Curt Colby, one of FAC’s Masters Swim Instructors, also placed 7th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 13th and 14th in the 50 Breast Stroke, 100 Breast Stroke, 100 I.M. 100 Free, 50 Fly and 200 Breast Stroke respectively in the U.S. Masters Swim Nationals.

FAC member and triple World Ironman Champion, Chrissie Wellington, took Ironman South Africa by storm on Sunday, April 10th. Wellington put on yet another impressive  record-breaking performance by shattering the Ironman South Africa bike, run and course records to finish in a time of 8:33:56 and record the all-time fastest women’s time for a sanctioned Ironman event.

The YS (Yellowscene) Magazine’s Best of the West 2011 edition named Frisk Jewelry, owned and operated by  FAC members Amanda, Jessica and Donna Rubino, the Best On-Trend, Locally-Made Jewelry Line in Boulder County. “These young ladies and their mom started Frisk Jewelry in 2004 and their funky/flirty creations are as wearable as they are fashion forward.”
